Revit 2021- 2024
The new ISOVER Flat Roof Designer provides users with advanced tools and resources for accurate flat roof modeling and validation. It features an Autodesk Revit plugin with design-assist functions, a web platform for easy communication with technical advisors, and other resources to achieve design goals.
The Revit plugin includes component families that simplify the placement of drainage elements and the insulation slope angles needed to direct rainwater to drains. After completing the roof geometry, designers can use the plugin to verify that all roof elements meet flat roof design standards, ensuring a slope value of 2.5% and correctly sized drains for each catchment area. Another key feature is the plugin’s ability to calculate the required insulation thickness based on the desired U-value. It analyzes slope areas to determine the necessary underlay insulation thickness and type, allowing users to finalize design details like parapet wall height early in the process. Users can also upload their models to the ISOVER Flat Roof Designer platform for direct communication with technical support.
The following Revit component families are added to a project using the plugin to begin the roof design:
The Revit add-in offers functions to validate roof designs efficiently. Users can quickly ensure all roof elements have correct slope values and adequate drainage areas for each outlet. The U-value validation approximates the required insulation thickness, aiding in setting the building’s parapet height. Projects can then be uploaded to the ISOVER Flat Roof Designer platform for additional technical support.
The ISOVER Flat Roof Designer platform provide a centralised place to find all information regarding ISOVER roof systems, product information, documentation, installation guides, videos etc. Designers can also upload a 3D model of their roof element directly to ISOVER for further assistance and later work during the project.
